It was performed January 18, 1976, at the Paul Laurence Dunbar Afro-American Cultural Arts Center Black Music Heritage Concert Series by Lois Shegog and Leslie Schwartz, violins; Vicky Sinclair, viola, Laura Handler, cello. A reading of this quartet was done at the Conference/Workshop on 20th Century String Quartets by Women Composers in March 1980, in New York City. Thanks to music copyist Bill Hawkins Finn.
